My Year-End Thank You List

I wish I’d kept better track of this all year, but never mind, I’ll give it a shot anyway. This post is my heartfelt thank you to all the amazing people who have helped and supported my writing and business activities during 2018.

Pauline Wiles 2018 thanks list

Featuring me (or inviting me) as a guest writer or speaker:

Beta-reading for Indie With Ease:

Contributing to Indie With Ease:

In-person writer chats:

Other online support & cheerleading:

And, last, but probably most important: enabling me to leave my day job – Darius Wiles!

The danger of making a list like this is I will inevitably remember and blush deeply over someone who should be mentioned here. I’ll update this post when those blush-making, forehead-slapping thoughts occur!

Sometimes, we say writing is a lonely business. I hope this list proves, it really isn’t. My sincere thanks to everyone who made 2018 just a little easier or more enjoyable.

It’s been a very busy year for you, by the sounds of things. Getting to meet you in England recently was a highlight for me, both professionally and personally. You are a writer’s dream mentor and friend. I look forward to seeing what you’re up to next year. Here’s to onwards and upwards!

Meeting other writers in person is such an inspiration to me, too, Tracey. And it was so funny to discover how many personality traits we share!

Pauline, how sweet of you to include me on this list, in the fine company of so many lovely and talented people! I find you very inspiring as well as full of practical tips. And I can’t imagine how you do all you do. I could never write a novel while 1) married, 2) blogging, 3) working on other projects, and 4) a huge etcetera! I would need to be “holed up” with my work-in-progress, with someone bringing me meals and tending to all the mundane matters, leaving me to “my art.”

Jean, you’re very kind! Fortunately, I’m not trying to compose a great American novel! Romantic comedy brimming with tea and cake is just a little less demanding for the muse. šŸ™‚ Happy holidays to you.
