I’ve chased this one through a couple of very different early drafts, but I’m now ready to share with you that my next romantic comedy, set in the village of Saffron Sweeting, will be titled Ten Things My Husband Hated.
This (my fourth full-length piece of light women’s fiction) started a few years ago during National Novel Writing Month and I admit I’ve dilly-dallied in coaxing it into shape. I’m still in the editing phase and most days am thoroughly daunted by the task ahead! However, there’s a fun story here and I plan to share it with you later in 2019. (Update: release date is Nov 12!)
In the meantime, here’s a peek at an early blurb:
Nimble handywoman Maggie has a talent for fixing things. But when her friends realise she still needs patching up after her divorce, they come up with a list of ten ways she can prove to her ex-husband she’s moved on. From tattoos to Ferris wheels, she’s supposed to live large and erase the last traces of her married years. But the list has hidden depths and is about to launch Maggie into a whole new life. Is she ready for the ride?
