I tend to forget that working on projects at the computer for ten hours straight leaves my body aching and my mind dull. No matter the task, when I’m struggling with a problem, I almost always get extra insight or an idea for a new tactic once I step away from the situation. This doesn’t have to be an intentional joyful interlude, just a quick change of scene and pace. The best breaks involve a few gulps of fresh air. And remember, when you think you can’t take a break is when you absolutely need one the most.
