Serenity Tip: Cracks Let the Light In

I’ve been immersing myself in inspiration this week and particularly recommend you find fifteen minutes for Anne Lamott’s TED talk.

But don’t try to multitask here: her advice comes so thick and fast, if you even take a sip of tea you might miss something.

Here, for example, is one of my favourite parts, a quote she repeats from a Leonard Cohen song:

Serenity Tip: Cracks Let the Light In

“There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.”

Lamott also talks about comparing ourselves to others, losing those we love, and chocolate. There’s so much good stuff there, I’m off to watch it again.

I hope you’re having an inspired week too!

Pauline, I saw the first half of it – loved it! – before I got interrupted. Will watch the whole thing tomorrow. Thanks for telling us about it. I tend to watch a lot of TED for a while and then forget all about it for a while.

Glad you liked what you saw. She strikes me as such a wise lady.
